llms.txt, robots.txt & sitemaps: invite AI crawlers in

## The new file AI engines look for
`llms.txt` is a plain-text file at the root of your site that summarises who you are, what you do, and which pages matter most — written for AI crawlers, not humans. It's the fastest way to hand an engine a clean, unambiguous description of your brand instead of making it guess from your marketing prose.
## The three files that matter
- **llms.txt** — a structured brand summary + links to your most important pages. - **robots.txt** — must explicitly *allow* `GPTBot`, `ClaudeBot`, `PerplexityBot`, and `Google-Extended`. Many sites block these by accident and then wonder why they never appear in AI answers. - **sitemap.xml** submitted to Google Search Console **and** Bing Webmaster Tools. Bing matters more than people think — ChatGPT Search runs on Bing's index.
## Why it moves GEO
You're removing friction. When an engine can read a concise summary of your brand and is explicitly invited to crawl, you raise the odds of being included — and being described *accurately* — in generated answers.
## How Rankply does this for you
We auto-generate your `llms.txt` from your brief, plus a copy-paste `robots.txt` block that opens your site to the major AI crawlers, and we generate your sitemap. You upload `llms.txt` to your root, merge the robots block, and verify the sitemap in Search Console + Bing — about ten minutes, once.
