Listicles, directories, Wikidata & profiles

## Independent sources are what AI trusts
An engine trusts what *other* sites say about you more than what you say about yourself. Every credible third-party listing is an independent source the model can repeat — and the more of them agree, the more confidently you get cited.
## The listings that move the needle
- **"Best of" listicles + roundups** — one inclusion is a source AI repeats for years. - **Industry directories** — reputable, category-specific ones; each is a backlink and a lookup destination. - **Complete, consistent profiles** — Google Business, Crunchbase, LinkedIn company page. Consistency across them confirms you're real. - **Wikidata** — feeds Google's info-box and a large share of ChatGPT's factual citations. Realistic timeline: 12–24 months after a genuine notability event, and you never submit yourself — an editor adds you.
## Keep listings honest and current
If your business depends on certifications (Verra, ISO, GS1, etc.), audit those listings quarterly and remove anything withdrawn. A stale or false listing is a reputation risk AI will surface.
## How Rankply does this for you
We shortlist the right directories and publications for your industry, draft the listing/profile copy and the outreach emails to listicle authors, and prepare a neutral Wikidata description with candidate citations — all surfaced in your content batch. You submit and maintain; we keep the drafts coming.
